It is with great disappointment that, following the recent outbreaks of Bluetongue and the continued spread of cases closer to our region, Glendale Agricultural Society has made the difficult decision to cancel the Sheep & Goat Section at Glendale Show 2026, taking place on Saturday 29th August.
This will also affect the Alpacas, Pygmy Goats and the Sheep Show, who were due to attend the show.
This has not been an easy decision, particularly after receiving an outstanding number of entries and seeing the tremendous support for our livestock classes this year. However, after careful consideration of the latest veterinary advice and guidance, we believe this is the most responsible and safest course of action for exhibitors, livestock and the wider farming community.

All relevant exhibitors and judges will be contacted as soon as possible by email. Please check your inbox for further information regarding entries and procedures.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who has entered, supported and helped organise the Sheep & Goat Section. We share your disappointment, but the welfare of livestock must remain our highest priority.

Importantly, the rest of Glendale Show 2026 will continue as planned, including:

Equine & Donkey Competitions

Horticultural & Industrial Exhibits

Family Zone

Trade Stands

Food & Drink

Countryside Attractions

Main Ring Entertainment

Activities for All the Family
We hope you will still join us for what promises to be a fantastic day celebrating agriculture, rural life and our local community. Purchase your tickets
