Doddington Dairy Cheese

The Doddington Dairy is situated on our family farm, nestled at the bottom of the Cheviot Hills in the Glendale Valley of Northumberland.

Within hours of milking our Cows, their fresh whole milk is mixed with ingredients of the finest quality and then crafted into a luxury ice cream for you to savour. We also use the fresh whole milk of the Doddington cows to produce a range of artisan cheeses, Doddington, Berwick Edge and Cuddy’s Cave.

Although the Doddington Dairy is not open to the public the ice creams and cheeses are available from specialist food shops around the region.

Family members are involved in the cheese making processes; from feeding and milking the cows; through choosing and mixing the ingredients; to packing and delivering the final quality products. Owners Neill and Jackie Maxwell believe that this personal committment gives you the finest quality product.

The cheeses are crafted from raw milk and matured on pine shelves in the cool, Northumbrian air for up to 15 months to give a true depth of flavour.
